The Association of Real Estate Companies of Peru (ASEI) announced the achievement of a historic record in selling new properties in Metropolitan Lima and Callao.

The Association of Real Estate Companies of Peru (ASEI) announced the achievement of a historic record in selling new properties in Metropolitan Lima and Callao. During the third quarter of 2024, 5,716 units were sold, representing an increase of 26% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This result exceeds the figures for 2023 and establishes the highest level of sales in the third quarter in the last four years. For Ana Cecilia Gálvez, general manager of ASEI, the market growth is attributed to a greater demand for housing and an improvement in access to credit, thanks to a slight decrease in mortgage interest rates.

The areas of Lima Moderna and Lima Top continue to lead the market, concentrating 70% of the demand in districts such as Miraflores, Santiago de Surco, and Jesús María.

As for prices, the average cost per square meter remained stable in September, reflecting the strength and stability of the real estate market. With a favorable outlook, ASEI anticipates a positive year-end, supported by continued demand and accessible financing conditions.
