Yucatán: A Real Estate Investment Hub – The real estate market keeps betting on Yucatán as an ideal destination for new buildings. With nearly USD 342 million in investment, the construction of housing and urban complexes is growing progressively, supporting the regional economy and generating jobs.

High-Impact Real Estate Projects

Within Ucú municipality, the “Residencial Punto Maya” complex is a record investment of USD 268 million, and the second tower of the “Distrito Arte Mérida” complex will receive more than USD 63 million. Both projects reflect the faith of investors in the region.

The Secretary of Economy and Labor (SETY), Ermilo Barrera Novelo, explained that the influx of such capital is an indication of legal certainty and stability that Yucatán guarantees to investors looking to implement grand projects.

Urban Development and Job Creation

The “Residencial Punto Maya” project entails the building of 3,500 homes in Ucú, generating more than 250 direct job opportunities. Additionally, preference will be given to hiring local labor and increasing the supply chain by using Yucatecan contractors and suppliers.

“Such a project has hundreds of opportunities for our citizens. Its strategic location, next to the Periférico and the future Metropolitan Ring, and the connection with the Maya Train will enable rapid access to basic services,” stressed Joaquín Díaz Mena, Governor of Yucatán.

Meanwhile, the second “Distrito Arte Mérida” building will entail an investment of 67 million dollars (1.333 billion pesos) that will stimulate the creation of more than 350 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The complex will have more than 10,000 square meters of commercial space, a 120-room hotel, and a one-hectare public park, which will be funded with private capital.

Yucatán: A Competitive Destination for Investors

As a result of these investments, Yucatán is becoming an outstanding location for the real estate sector. Legal certainty, collaboration between the public and private sectors, and a focus on sustainable development have transformed the region into a model of planned and organized development.

Governor Díaz Mena reaffirmed his intention to create an attractive environment for investment and the development of innovative projects that benefit society and continue to make Yucatán a real estate leader.
